　　吴宇森的名字，随着他的电影作品被大众所熟知。但是人们只知道他是非常了不起的传奇人物，但是没有多少人能读懂精彩背后的吴宇森在从影路上的挣扎和绝不向困难低头的经历，没有多少人能细细品味出他的电影背后有着怎样的情怀和社会责任。当第四届北京国际电影节即将向我们走来之际，吴宇森带着他的家国情怀，出任本届电影节的评委会主席，借此契机，我们有幸将他请到《影事》演播室现场。吴导评价自己的成名之作《英雄本色》说道这部影片是几个失意的人的内心情感宣泄。
　　录制现场吴导向观众透露了影片《变脸》的创作中用歌舞片的方式拍枪战，是受到绿野仙踪的影响。在谈到作为导演的责任时，吴导说导演一定要对社会有交代。拍电影永远是在拍人的故事和情感，事件和场景并不重要。这个世界上，人们不管文化，政治的观念差异多大，人性都是共通的。吴导说“有人问我电影怎么打入国际市场，我觉得唯一的答案就是人性”。
